Dehydrated mushrooms the possibilities are endless!
*Lions Mane – Make a tincture (recipe under our learn page) or grind in coffee grinder, add to smoothies/yogurt or use as a powder to add flavour to recipes and reap the health benefits that this mushroom offers.
*Chaga – Make a tincture (recipe under our learn page) or simmer a chunk to make a tea. Chaga tastes similar to coffee and is known to have antioxidant properties which helps to support your immune system and overall well being.
*Reishi – Make a tincture (recipe under our learn page) or soak this fabulous mushroom for tea in a hot soak for a few hours. Ganoderma tsugae can taste bitter, adding honey and lemon will mask the taste somewhat.
*Oysters – Oysters are a variety mix in a cellophane bag and contain either Grey Dove, Elm, Pearl or Blue. You can grind them up in a coffee grinder to add flavour in many recipes. One of my favourite ways to use dehydrated oysters and leeks is to bring water to boil add mushrooms/leeks and simmer for 5 minutes. Add pasta of choice to mushroom water (drain) toss with butter, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Reconstitute oysters by soaking in hot water for two hours and use as you would normally use raw mushrooms.
